Joyce Zavorskas

Joyce Gardner Zavorskas has received both local and international recognition for her bold, innovative monotypes and oils. Recent en plein air studies with Skip Whitcomb in Loveland, CO, Joseph McGurl in Catumet, MA and Don Stone on Monhegan Island have enhanced a lifelong reverence for nature undisturbed. Travels include the Provence, Southern CA, Mohegan Island, Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard.

Wherever I paint, it seems to be the same kind of imagery...standing on the edge of a cliff looking over a vast expanse of earth, ocean and sky. A quiet sanctuary where my spirit soars and I can hear my own thoughts. I feel the strength and renewability of nature, and attempt to capture that passion in my site specific paintings.
